WHO ARE WE?

A group of St. Kitts and Nevis nationals dedicated to promoting social integration and creating bonds of friendship, camaraderie and good citizenship among St. Kitts and Nevis nationals residing in the Washington D.C. area.

Our History

Following the Independence of the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis in 1983, a group of    St. Kitts and Nevis nationals in the Washington, DC metropolitan area (DC/MD/VA) got together and started the first nationals association.  It was founded in the spring of 1984 with a core membership of 12 nationals and the officers were Dr. Franklyn Musgrave, President, Clifford Thomas, Vice President (deceased), Uriel DaSilva, Treasurer, and Shirley Tyson, Secretary.

OUR MISSION

To promote and revitalize national pride amongst Nationals of the diaspora, whilst working towards developing, nurturing and uplifting communities within the Federation of St Kitts and Nevis

SKNNA-DC Objectives

The St. Kitts and Nevis Nationals Association in Washington D.C. aims to create a sense of community among nationals in the U.S., promote their social, cultural, and economic advancement, and establish alliances with other diaspora groups. The association also provides a platform for open discussion on topics related to its goals and contributes to the advancement of its members in areas such as education, healthcare, culture, and sports.
